Effective Date: June 25th, 2025
Welcome to Athios! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Athios platform and services as a user ("you," "your," or "Athlete"). By signing up or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

To use Athios, you must be at least 18 years old or have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and be a current or recent student-athlete authorized to monetize your name, image, and likeness (NIL) in compliance with NCAA, NAIA, or other applicable rules.

2. Account Registration

You must create an account and provide accurate, up-to-date information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

3. Services Provided

Athios sends you advertising opportunities and facilitates monetizing content you’re already posting authentically. We offer tools to help you add accepted advertising campaigns into your content for ad revenue share.

4. NIL Rights and Usage

By using the platform, you grant Athios a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your name, image, likeness, and submitted content solely for the purpose of facilitating advertising opportunities.

5. Payment Terms

Athios invoices brands on your behalf. Brands have net 30 payment terms. Once Athios receives funds, you will be paid within 5 business days. Payouts are subject to providing W-9 for tax purposes.

6. Compliance

You agree to comply with all relevant NIL laws and institutional policies. Athios is not liable for any violation of NCAA, NAIA, state, or school-level rules resulting from your actions.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, unlawful activity, or inactivity. You may also delete your account at any time.

8. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts located in Dallas County.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes and your continued use of the platform signifies your acceptance.

10. Google API Services & User Data

Athios's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10.1 Data Accessed

When you connect your Google account to Athios, we request access to your Google Calendar data via the Google Calendar API. Specifically, we access:

• Calendar event titles, dates, times, and durations
• Event descriptions and locations (if present)
• Calendar names and identifiers

We request only the minimum permissions necessary to provide conflict-detection functionality. We do not access your Google contacts, email, documents, or any other Google services.

10.2 Data Usage

Google Calendar data is used solely to:

• Display your existing calendar events within the Athios interface
• Identify scheduling conflicts between your Google Calendar events and new opportunities or commitments you manage through Athios
• Present a unified calendar view to help you make informed scheduling decisions

We do not use your Google Calendar data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the calendar conflict-detection feature you have explicitly enabled. We do not use Google data to train machine learning models.

10.3 Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your Google Calendar data with third parties. Google user data may be disclosed only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: We use third-party infrastructure providers (e.g., cloud hosting) solely to operate our service. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to Athios.
Legal compliance: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Athios or its users.
With your consent: We will not share your data with any other party without your explicit prior consent.

10.4 Data Storage & Protection

Athios does not store your Google Calendar data on our servers. Each time you load your calendar, we fetch events directly from Google in real time and display them in your browser. No Google Calendar data is written to disk or persisted beyond your active session. All requests to Google's API are made over TLS-encrypted connections.

10.5 Data Retention & Deletion

Because Athios does not store your Google Calendar data, there is no server-side data to delete. Your calendar events remain solely in your Google account and are only fetched transiently when you use the calendar feature.

You may revoke Athios's access to your Google Calendar at any time via your Google Account permissions page. Once access is revoked, Athios can no longer retrieve your calendar data.
